Gros Beach: facing the sea

In September we will have another edition of Film Festival San Sebastian.

Gros Beach apartment is located on the fourth floor of a building, listed as a heritage of cultural and architectural interest. There are side views of the sea and the beach Gros. It is distributed on an inner surface of 85 m2, which have been well distributed among the rooms.
It has two bedrooms, one of them, the main one, is equipped with a double bed of 150 cms and the second with two single beds of 90 cms. All beds have a length of 200 cms. Both rooms have large wardrobes and main bathroom also has en suite and small balcony from which to enjoy on the beach side views of Gros.

 

The kitchen is designed with modern equipment and top brands and is perfectly equipped to enjoy delicious meals during your vacation in San Sebastian.

The area of ​​the living room is a large and brightly room where you can enjoy and relax.

The lounge also has a sofa bed, which gives the apartment sleeps 6.
The apartment has wireless internet connection and if you want you can hire parking space 5 minutes walk from the building.

Surf en San Sebastian

San Sebastian reúne las condiciones perfectas para la práctica del surf. La playa de la Zurriola, referente europeo en esta disciplina deportiva, es el campo de práctica de miles de donostiarras y foráneos para deslizarse sobre las olas.

De hecho, el surf es uno de los deportes más practicados en la ciudad.  Los donostiarras viven este deporte con una pasión singular. Y es que la afición por el surf viene de lejos. Ya a mediados de los 60 comenzaron los primeros donostiarras a surfear las olas en la que por aquel entonces se llamaba Playa de Gros, creando un movimiento social de culto al surf que ha ido creciendo año tras año.

El surf es sin lugar a duda un deporte en auge en la  ciudad.  Los que lo practican, lo explican de este modo: el surf es más que un deporte, es un estilo de vida; es contacto directo con el mar, dependencia de sus olas, una actividad que exige tener todos los sentidos concentrados en las olas, tu y tu tabla.

This week we present you this apartment close to the old town in San Sebastian, where you can have a nice walk while eating delicious pintxos, but without suffering the noise that is created at night.

The holiday apartment Bretxa gets its name from the Bretxa market situated close by. It used to be the most popular wholesale food market in San Sebastian. Nowadays, it still is a traditional retail market but you can also find some modern shops within it. The vacation apartment Bretxa is located on the fourth floor of a building situated in the area known as the “Widening”. It is the urban expansion area built from the Old Town during the 19th Century, following a romantic architectural style. The building faces the Kursaal Bridge, at the point where the Urumea River meets the sea. It was completely rebuilt (2011) maintaining the sandstone frontage and the romantic style.

The accommodation faces a large and tranquil open courtyard, and thanks to being situated so high in the building, it is a very bright apartment. Its 85 square metres are distributed in 3 double bedrooms and 2 fully equipped bathrooms. As we access the apartment, there is an open plan lounge-dining area and next to it, a modern fully equipped kitchenette with top of the range electrical appliances.

The lounge, although not very spacious, it was very well planned and it is fully furnished. There is a chaise longue, a 42 inches LED TV and a large dining table with sitting for up to 6 people. From the kitchen it is possible to go out onto a balcony. The main bedroom has a king size bed and an ensuite bathroom. The other two bedrooms have twin beds and share the secondbathroom. Both bathrooms have a shower.

The holiday apartment offers parking as an option, which is quite advisable if you come to San Sebastian by car. In any case, the Bretxa apartment is perfect if what you want is get to know San Sebastian from the inside, next to the Old Town but at the same time, cut off from the noise. As it has been mentioned, the holiday apartment Bretxa is situated next to the Old Town, so all types of shops, bars and restaurants can be found nearby. At the same time, it is exactly opposite the Kursaal Convention Centre, next to the Zurriola Beach and just a 5 minutes stroll from La Concha Beach.
