The El Chupadero is a restaurant situated in a traditional Canarian Bodega in the heart of the La Geria wine region in a quiet but central spot. The whole Geria valley is known for its excellent wine and you get to enjoy the results in form of excellent wines right there. You will enjoy it even more from the Terrace, from which you have a breathtaking view over the volcanic landscape and the vineyard. El Chupadero serves delicious local tapas and a daily special menu. The owner, a German expat, puts the focus on fresh local ingredients, which you can definately taste
The tapas menu includes typical spanish delicacies such as freshly made tomato soup, Jamon Serrano, local Canarian cheeses, the tasty “wrinkled potatos” papas arrugadas con mojo, smoked tuna, prawns with garlic, albondigas – Spanish meatballs and crepes.
The restaurant is well known to both locals and regular visitors and is only a 5 minutes drive from the next village and 20 minutes from the airport. This info is relevant if you are interested in staying at the cozy vacation apartment ”La Geria” which is El Chupadero´s guesthouse.
