Mugaritz Restaurant in Rentería (San Sebastian)

View from the dining room out onto the San Sebastián countryside

If you would like to encounter exceptional food near San Sebastián (20 minute drive inland ) we highly suggest you visit the Mugaritz, which was chosen 3rd best Restaurant of the world 2011 and is being lead by Chef Andoni Luis Aduriz who was an apprentice at Restaurante El Bulli.

Hence his innovative cooking style which he describes as techno-emotional cuisine, the culinary synthesis of science and a deep understanding of ingredients.
Some of the produce is taken from the herb and vegetable garden right behind the restaurant and then used for a personalized menu including fifteen dishes, which is the result of years of hundreds of tests and perfected techniques.
The 2 dégustation menus change daily due to the ingredients being individually selected according to the season and you will get to enjoy this experience in a pleasantly relaxed setting with a view over pastures and Northern Spain´s hilly inland.
If you are vegetarian or celiac, have a food allergy or intolerance they will adapt the menu to your needs if you let them know in advance.
